The flyback date hand feature, located at the center, progresses forward daily until after the 31st when it flies back to day one. Weighing in at hefty 165 grams, the Oberon is no lightweight either. Throw your watch batteries away. The automatic self-winding movement makes battery changes a thing of the past. The perfect accessory for any dress occasion. Product description: Case and dial: Mirror polished 316L stainless steel Alliance series case. 50mm lug tip to lug tip X 38.25mm, excluding the crown; 15.2 mm tall. Hardened curved mineral crystal over exquisite textured dial. Dial is black, with silver Arabic numerals. Diamond cut luminescent hour and minute hands. Stainless steel case back attached by 4 screws displaying movement through an exhibition window covered by a hardened mineral crystal. Water resistant to 3 ATM. Movement: Mechanical automatic, self winding, 20 jewel movement with EE signed rotor. The bridges and rotor are fine milled with a Côte de Geneve pattern. 36 hour autonomy. Indications: Hour, minute and flyback date hands at center. Sub dial at 6 showing seconds and day of the week. Strap: Solid, mirror polished, 24mm wide stainless steel with folding buckle and safety clasp with EE logo etching. Suitable for wrists up to 8 3/4 inches. This is my first really good watch and I am extremely happy with it. It's a beautiful and unique piece that doesn't look like other watches you see.
It's a little thicker than I had imagined it to be, but I've come to like it. The build quality is outstanding and it feels very robust.
I guess the only downside to it is that it's hard to tell time in dim lighting, but that's the trade-off for such an attractive face design I suppose; I wouldn't EE to change a thing.
